Mattea

Mattea Wintre is the founder of Jsport.  She graduated from York University with a Kinesiology degree and has always been passionate about using  sport and recreation as a vehicle for development. Mattea has pursued her passion working in provincial, national and international sport and recreation for over 15 years while running Jsport as her local contribution. She believes that if people are having  fun, building community and friendships while having an overall positive experience in sport, that they will want to stay active for life. Jsport has been doing this for over a decade and is now expanding that same philosophy to kids! Mattea also enjoys staying active and spending time with her two kids!

 

 

Steve

Steven Indig graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Recreation degree and a successful five-year career as a varsity athlete in swimming.  Steve competed in  three University National Championships, was named the University athlete of the month and competed in the 2000 Olympic Trials.  He continues to be involved in swimming as a master’s swimmer and coach.  After Dalhousie, Steve received his degree in law from the University of Windsor and is the managing director of the Sport Law and Strategy Group.  Steve was inducted into the Yarmouth, Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame in 2007.Steve continues to be involved in sport as a a swimmer and avid basketball player. Steve is also a proud father of two kids.
